Chief Financial Officer

Matthew Scott

Matthew joined DANTE in June 1996 as Commercial Manager responsible for the Financial operation of DANTE. He has considerable experience in procurement and commercial negotiations having been involved in the procurements for the last three pan European networks that DANTE has implemented and has extensive knowledge of the international telecoms carrier market.

In February 2003 Matthew became Chief Financial Officer.

He is qualified as a Chartered Accountant and has an Engineering degree from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne.

Finance Team

Susan Taylor

Susan Taylor joined DANTE in 1996. Her main responsibilities are the production of monthly management accounts and the annual statutory accounts, the annual budget and cashflow statements, the Sales Ledger and management of DANTE's cash.

Susan maintains the company's personnel records and manages the recruitment process. Payroll administration, including end of year statutory returns and the administration of the Company's stakeholder pension scheme, are also part of her role.

Susan is a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians and a graduate of the University of Cambridge and the Open University.

Peter Nancollis

Peter Nancollis joined DANTE's finance team in September 2004. Peter's main responsibilities are financial enquiries relating to EUMEDCONNECT, ALICE and TEIN2, and preparing cost statements and budgets relating to these projects. In addition Peter is responsible for the purchase ledger, checking purchase invoices against purchase orders and posting the invoices onto Sage.

Krystyna Owen

Krystyna Owen joined DANTE in August 2000. She works within the Finance Department and her main responsibilities are the production of periodic Cost Statements for the various projects, the Purchase Ledger and Fixed Assets Register. Krystyna also assists with project budgeting and billing.

 

Julie Ball

Julie joined DANTE's Finance team as Accounts Assistant in April 2007. Julie achieved an HND in Accountancy graduating in September 2000 from Inverness College. She then relocated from Scotland to Newmarket where she spent the next 6 years in the same job doing various accounting duties before coming to DANTE. Julie’s job is to assist everyone in the finance team. 

Project Managers

Miloš Karapandžić

Miloš Karapandžić has been working for DANTE as Project Manager on GÉANT and other related projects since November 2002. Before joining DANTE, Miloš worked for Analysys Ltd, a telecoms consultancy also based in Cambridge, UK.

After graduating in English Language and Literature at the University of Nis, Yugoslavia in 1999, he completed a Masters course in English and Applied Linguistics at the University of Cambridge in 2001.

David West

David West is the project manager at DANTE for EUMEDCONNECT and TEIN2. He joined DANTE in April 2001 as a Project Manager after spending 15 years at BT where he was a senior manager responsible for a number of international product and business development programmes. At DANTE, he also manages a range of procurement and commercial projects for GÉANT and the DANTE World Service.

David has extensive experience in the telecommunications field of managing and supporting new projects, and in establishing supplier and partner relationships. He is educated to postgraduate degree level and spent the earlier part of his career in the UK urban development industry.

Otto Kreiter

Otto Kreiter works as a Service Introduction Manager in the Project Management team of DANTE. He joined the company in 2003 as a member of the Network Engineering and Planning team. Before joining DANTE he worked for 3 years as a Network Engineer at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca and the Cluj Branch of RoEduNet.

Otto graduated from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (Romania) in 2000 with a Bachelors degree in Telecommunication, and completed a masters' degree in Digital Telecommunication at the same university in 2001.

 

 

 

Projects Administrator

Alex Gosnell 

Alex Gosnell worked for several years for Lloyds TSB Group in London, Peterborough and Cambridge until taking voluntary redundancy.  She joined DANTE as General Manager's Secretary in December 1999 and  moved to the Project Management team in February 2006.
