Dale Robertson - Head of EU Liaison

 Dale joined DANTE as PR Manager in May 2002.  She has a Mathematics degree from the University of Cambridge and a Postgraduate Diploma in International Studies from Johns Hopkins University (SAIS).  Dale lived in Brussels for six years, working initially inside the European Commission and European Parliament, and then in the External Relations department of Sony Europe.  She joined the British Broadcasting Corporation, working as European Affairs Manager before moving to London to work for the Chief Executive of BBC Broadcast.

Dale has extensive knowledge of EU institutional workings, and of European public policy in the areas of the Information Society, converging technologies, research and ICT policy.  She has also spent spells working as a mathematical researcher in France, and studying in Italy.  Prior to joining DANTE, Dale worked for several years as an IT systems implementation consultant.

As PR Manager, Dale built DANTE’s PR team which provided the marketing communications functions for the GN1 and GN2 projects as well as the regional projects.  Working in a job-share with Melanie Pankhurst from September 2007, she was Activity Leader for the GN3 project’s Communication & Promotion Activity until March 2012.  Dale was appointed as Head of EU Liaison in March 2012.
