About eduroam

DANTE is a member of the JANET Roaming Service (JRS) which allows members of JRS-participating institutions to login at other participating institutions. JRS is part of the eduroam Federation which increases the availability of this roaming service to institutions in Europe, Asia and Australia.

Before you visit DANTE

Please check that your institution participates in eduroam. A list of eduroam participants can be found on the Participating Organisations Map.

Technical details required to make use of eduroam within DANTE are shown below:

• JRS tier supported: JRS2
• Security protocol support: WPA and WPA2
• Cipher support: TKIP for WPA and AES for WPA2
• SSID: eduroam

Please consult your institution’s IT Support Department for any assistance with the setup of your laptop prior to visiting our site (or any other sites supporting eduroam). Responsibility for support lies with your institution when visiting other eduroam participants.
