A new high speed computer network link, made possible by GÉANT, the advanced pan-European backbone network, and TEIN, the Asia-Pacific network, now connects scientists and researchers in Pakistan with colleagues across the globe.
Building on the success of the Trans-Eurasia Information Network 2 (TEIN2) research and education network the European Union (EU) and its partners today announced the launch date of its successor.
The GÉANT2 network, together with the National Research and Education Networks, are providing the high speed connectivity to underpin CERN’s new Worldwide Large Hadron Collider (LHC) experiment.
