Technical Programme

DANTE's technical programme is directed towards the technical development of the projects in which DANTE takes part, as well as DANTE's own internal developments in support of its activities. It is mostly carried out using the GÉANT infrastructure.

DANTE’s technical programme is active in the areas of:

Routing
Network monitoring
Performance enhancement
Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS)
Optical technology evaluation
OSS
IPv6
Multicast

Most of these activities are carried out in co-operation with National Research and Education Networks (NRENs), in the context of specific working groups and in the context of the TF-NGN task force.
