DANTE's Board of Directors

DANTE's Board of Directors consists of five non-executive directors, one of whom is the Chairman. The Chairman and Directors are chosen from the representatives of DANTE's shareholder organisations, or (where the shareholder is not actually the NREN itself) related NRENs. The Chairman and Directors are elected by the shareholders for a two-year term of office. They may be re-elected for two further consecutive terms of two years each.

The Directors represent the fifteen shareholders and hold meetings four to six times a year. They oversee the running of the company, and liaise with the General Managers of DANTE on issues of company management and policy.

The Chairman of the Board is Klaus Ullmann, who was elected in January 2005, having previously served as DANTE's Chairman from 1994 until 2002. Prior to Klaus's re-election, Dany Vandromme was the Chairman of DANTE (2003-4).
